Tampa’s first major mural festival happening in February

Tampa Bay Fresh Fest is upon us. The mural festival is by artists, for artists and serves to beautify the city of Tampa’s best and most iconic neighborhoods. Organizers have secured sponsors and continue to seek support from members of the Tampa community who want to see more art on the walls of this growing city.

Tampa Bay Fresh Fest runs from February 8-16 with at least 12 large scale works going up in areas like Tampa Heights, Ybor City, and downtown Tampa.

The festivities will culminate with several events on Saturday, February 16. Residents are invited to the Fresh Fest Art Show at Inkwood Books (1809 North Tampa Street) from 8-11pm. The event is free and open to the public.

The organizers have also launched a GoFundMe to help pay for art supplies, compensate the professional muralists who pour their hearts out on the walls of Tampa Bay.

More festivities are set to take place on February 16 at Robertson Billiards and Spa (1721 North Franklin Street). The party kicks off at 11am and goes all night.

Another art stop will be at Southern Brewing and Wine located at 4500 Nebraska Avenue.
